Since
1996, the folks at Realdoll have been using Hollywood special
effects technology to produce the most realistic love doll in
the world. In their own words, "Our dolls feature
completely articulated skeletons which allow for anatomically
correct positioning, an exclusive blend of the best silicone rubbers
for an ultra flesh-like feel, and each doll is custom made to
your specifications. We offer an extensive list of options,
including 10 female body types and 16 interchangable female faces.
RealDolls are completely customizable, all the way down to the
make up and fingernail colors. If you've ever dreamed of creating
your ideal partner, then you have come to the right place."
I
think that the notion of making love to one of these dolls would
be a surreal and enlightening experience to say the least.
To penetrate synthetic flesh and fuck this machine. To cum
deep inside, surrounded by warm, heat sensitive plastic and silicone.
To call her your own... This makes me think about the opportunities
that I may have as a senior, which will be around the year 2030.
To be able to interact and make love to cyborg machines with quad
core 8 Ghz processors. 10 terabytes of memory and a very
repectable AI chip, or chips. Ah, technology. |
Just
look at these stats: 5.9 litre V12 Turbocharged engine.
515 kW (700 hp) @ 5000 rpm, 1020 Nm (753 lb-ft) @ 2500 rpm of
torque. Maybach was founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach with
his son Karl Maybach as director. The company was originally a
subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH until 1918. Maybach
has historic roots through the involvement of Wilhelm Maybach,
who was the technical director of the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft.
The company originally developed and manufactured diesel and gas
engines for Zeppelins, and then rail cars. The Maybach Mb.IVa
was used in aircraft and airships of World War I.
In 1960, Mercedes-Benz purchased the company. In
1997, Mercedes-Benz presented at the Tokyo Motorshow a luxury
concept car under the name Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz decided
to develop it; however, Mercedes made the decision to market the
car under the sole brand name of Maybach.
Maybach was therefore revived as a brand in the early 2000s, with
the production of the new model in two sizes — the Maybach
57 and the Maybach 62. The numbers are equal to the lengths of
the automobiles in decimetres. The beautiful piece of machinery
pictured above is a concept. And what a beautiful concept
it is. These cars go for 500k and up. |
Of
the people that, in my mind, really paved, or are paving a new
frontier in Modern Rock Music. Chino Moreno and the Deftones
really come to mind, as does his side project Team Sleep.
Some
of the music is just so cutting edge and yet, simplistic at the
same time. The voices haunting, Chino does have a very unique
way of approaching the discipline of music as well as the whole
process of creating music as well. Deftones were formed
in 1998. Consisting of Chino Moreno (lead vocals and guitar),
Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Chi Cheng (bass), Frank Delgado (keyboards
and turntables), and Abe Cunningham (drums and percussion).
Deftones are known by the haunting lyrics and hard hitting sound
that they create. If you have not heard of them, or Team
Sleep, I encourage you to check them out.
In
2008, Cheng was seriously injured in an automobile accident in
Santa Clara, CA, on November 4. The accident left Cheng
in a coma, and the Deftones announced in February that the band
would perform at Bamboozle Left in April, with their friend Sergio
Vega (formerly of Quicksand) filling in for Cheng on stage. On
April 26, Cheng was readmitted to ICU following a near-fatal septicemia
infection, he survived the infection following treatment and was
released from ICU about a week later. Following the release,
a rumor started to spread in early May that Cheng had awakened
from his coma[6] but this was denied on oneloveforchi.com, stating
that Cheng is in a minimally-conscious state. On August
18, Cheng underwent surgery to replace a bone flap in his skull
that had been removed after the accident, in order to relieve
intracranial pressure.
oneloveforchi.com
was created in March 2009 to help raise funds for Cheng and his
medical expenses, where fans can donate to help towards a initial
target of $20,000 (later raised to $50,000 and $100,000). It is
also a place where fans can read personal blogs and comments from
the Cheng family, and record a message that will be played to
Cheng to further speed his recovery. If
you are a fan of the band, or are just curious now, please feel
free to check out the Official Site Deftones.com.
Keep on rocking! Teamsleep is Chino's side progject, much
more melodic and lowkey, but at the same time, very technical
is a "far away" type of way. You can see the Official
Myspace of Team Sleep HERE.
